Reverend Dr. David Brockoff – Pastor
The youngest of five children, David grew up in Tulsa, Okla. where, for more than 35 years, his dad served as pastor and his mom served as music director and organist.
David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oral Roberts University in 1981 with a major in New Testament Literature and a minor in Psychology. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in 1985 with a Master of Divinity.
From the seminary David served as a mission developer in the Texas District, staring a new congregation in Ennis, Texas. Eventually, the mission called David as their first pastor. In the summer of 1989, David accepted a call to serve as an associate pastor to Rivercliff Lutheran Church in Dunwoody, Ga, a suburb of Atlanta. In 1996 David received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. His doctoral work helped congregations develop a structure that would free people for ministry, as opposed to uncritically accepting the latest corporate fad or maintaining the status quo. In 1998 David accepted a call to develop the first nonethnic-specific mission in Manhattan, NY in over 30 years. After two plus years the congregation was ready to call their first pastor. Believing the Church For All Nations would be better served by a pastor would could live in the city rather than commuting, Pastor Brockoff accepted a call to Holy Trinity, where he has served since January 2001.
In June 1986 David married Miss Bonnie Burdette. They have three children: Bethany, Emily and Rachel.
